Jeremy Berg is a pastor, teacher, and writer following the Way of Jesus and digging up ancient treasures of wisdom to illuminate life in the 21st century.
Jeremy is the founding and lead pastor of MainStreet Covenant Church in his hometown of Mound, MN, where he has served since 2010. Jeremy is also a professor of Theology at Solid Rock Discipleship School. Prior to church planting, Jeremy spent years engaging local youth as a high school basketball coach, sub teacher, driver’s ed instructor, and a youth pastor at two different churches.
Jeremy is currently completing his doctorate in New Testament Context at Northern Seminary, Chicago, with renowned New Testament scholar Scot McKnight. He completed his Masters degree in Theological Studies at Bethel Seminary (2005) and undergraduate degree in Biblical & Theological Studies at Bethel University (2002). He is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Jeremy and his fun, spunky wife Kjerstin have three young children — Peter, Isaak and Abigail. Jeremy enjoys jangly electric guitars, sparkling beverages, the smell of old books, reading to his kids, watching PBS Masterpiece with his wife, and endless hours listening to theological podcasts on his lawn tractor. In a previous life, Jeremy was the all-time leading scorer in basketball for his high school. These days he prefers golf, but will challenge anyone to a 3-point shootout.
